In London, real-time digital customer engagement, location and communications technology provider Localz has raised £2m in a venture round of funding, for further development of its product portfolio.Founded in 2013, the Localz platform combines real-time location tracking with two-way customer communications, including 'on my way' messaging, for curbside collection, service and product delivery. The company has recently launched a solution called 'Count Me In' which provides real-time counting of customers for retailers to safely monitor in-store traffic. As well as its office in London, LocalZ has operations in Melbourne, Australia and in the USA.
New funding has been led by London-based investment manager Triple Point, and will be used to help Localz further develop its solutions to help field services and retailers with their digital strategies. CEO and co-founder Tim Andrew (pictured) comments: 'We are delighted to have received this funding so we can continue to deepen our product portfolio to support the last-mile of the retail and services industries as they navigate the new normal'.
