Khoros Funds and Acquisition Support CX Push

Austin, Texas-based customer engagement software developer Khoros has acquired CX analytics software firm Topbox, and announced further equity funding from its existing investors.

Khoros says the buy and funding allow it to expand further into the CX market, adding Topbox's omnichannel CX analytics solution to its engagement platform to promise 'the CX industry's most comprehensive solution that provides a unified, actionable view of the customer and enables enterprises to create and deliver next-level customer engagement and experiences'. The funds, including those from existing lead investor Vista Equity Partners, will also be used to advance product innovation and accelerate organic growth, focusing on the firm's engineering, support, and go-to-market capabilities.

Topbox's software pulls in data from a wide variety of customer touchpoints including call recordings and transcripts, emails, social media, surveys, in-app communications and web feedback, and analysing it with proprietary Natural Language Processing and AI tools. Clients can then use the Khoros platform to action the resulting insights and engage with customers via the channel of their choice.
