In the US, marcoms group Ogilvy has hired digital transformation specialist Steve Soechtig for a newly created role, Global Chief Executive Officer of its Experience business.Soechtig (pictured) has spent his career helping companies identify opportunities to further enhance their connections with employees and consumers. With more than twenty years in tech-focused roles, he joins from business tech specialist Accenture Strategies, where he served as Managing Director. Prior to this he worked for McKinsey & Company as a Partner in the Marketing & Sales Practice, advising clients on increasing customer engagement through process re-engineering, and more efficient utilization of systems and data. Earlier, he worked for Deloitte as MD and Practice Leader, Digital and Customer Experience; and he helped build three start-up digital businesses.
In his new role, Soechtig will bring together Ogilvy's capabilities across a number of specialisms - including customer insights, offering and experience design, customer engagement and loyalty - into a unified end-to-end experience offering.
