UK broadcaster ITV has created new data roles - promoting Lara Izlan to Director of Data Strategy, while Clemence Burnichon joins as Director of Data Innovation, Mike Leverington will join next month as Director of Data Experimentation, and Kat Holmes becomes Director of Data Governance.
Izlan joined ITV in 2019 after data-related roles at Auto Trader, Telegraph Media Group, AOL, OmniSky and Disney Internet Group. In her new position, she will be responsible for developing and delivering data and AI value use cases across the business. Burnichon, who joins from Depop, and after roles at Sainsburys and Net-A-Porter, will be responsible for delivering an 'offensive data strategy' and fostering relationships with universities to deliver applied academic research to business opportunities.
Leverington takes up his new post in March, and will be responsible for using data to run digital experiments and testing at scale. Earlier he worked at The Body Shop, Aimia, Guardian and Royal Mail. Holmes joins from Travelex, having previously worked for Soho House and Avis Budget Group. She will now be responsible for developing effective governance to maximise the value of data across the organisation.
The four will support ITV's data-led focus, which the firm says is central to its evolution across broadcasting and global production; and the expansion of its direct to consumer business. All four will report into Sanjeevan Bala, who comments: 'I am delighted to have secured such diverse, talented leaders to help drive ITV's more than TV strategy'.
