In New York, insights provider Consumer Edge (CE) has acquired web data firm Savvr for an undisclosed sum.Founded in 2011 by Tim Elliott and Jonathan Wolfsie, Savvr provides large-scale web data collection, analysis, and research for sectors including institutional investment, real estate, automotive, eCommerce, restaurants, media/entertainment and more. The firm's technology helps identify metrics and insights that drive company performance and growth, and the company also takes on ad hoc projects.
CE says that the acquisition will expand its own suite of multinational, consumer-focused data and research products to now include web data. Mike Pagano, Consumer Edge CRO, comments: 'The combination of Savvr's high-quality web offering with the rapid product innovation cycle at CE, will allow us to bring a slew of compelling stand-alone and integrated consumer data products to the marketplace. CE customers will now be able to derive powerful insights from a unique combination of transaction, point-of-sale and web data all within CE's familiar product formats.'
