In the UK, Blue Yonder Research has launched an R&D insight and product testing facility called Sense:Lab.
Leeds-based Blue Yonder already operates comms specialist Brand:lab; and an in-house tech incubator team, which invests company profits in creating insight tech for the core agency. In combination with the firm's proprietary participant panel, the new Sense:Lab facility aims to provide a single solution for R&D insight.
Open and fully available as soon as restrictions lift, the facility offers access to sensory booths built to ISO standards, shower rooms, toilets, a laundry facility with multiple washing machines and dryers, and dedicated product preparation areas. In addition it provides three large, ground-floor meeting rooms, which can be configured for project and working spaces. Built during the pandemic, the lab uses a one-way system to maximise team and participant safety.
Managing Director Richard Heath comments: 'Every detail of this facility has been designed in partnership with our clients. From the ventilation capacity, to the dynamic lighting, to the two-way hatches. It's the details that make impactful R&D insight. For those who need to understand how their product behaves in the hands of people, then Sense:Lab is the place'.
