US-based digital media measurement and analytics firm DoubleVerify (DV) has appointed former Nielsen SVP Doug Campbell as Chief Strategy Officer.
Acquired by private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in 2017, DV offers MRC-accredited software that verifies the quality and effectiveness of digital ads. Its DV Authentic Impression solution provides clients with a single KPI to ensure each ad impression is viewable, fraud-free and meets brand safety requirements; and the firm also offers a suite of media authentication services called IQ Advanced Solutions, to increase the transparency and performance of video and display advertising across mobile and desktop platforms.
Campbell (pictured) joins with more than two decades of experience, helping public and private companies with their ad technology, Connected TV (CTV) and over-the-top (OTT) video, digital measurement, data analytics, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer of video ad tech and targeting company Telaria (previously known as Tremor Media), before which he was Chief Operating Officer at audience targeting firm eXelate, where he led the sale of the company to Nielsen, subsequently serving as Nielsen's SVP of Global Strategy and Corporate Development.
In his new role, Campbell will be responsible for global strategy and corporate development, reporting to his former colleague, DV CEO Mark Zagorski, who comments: 'I'm excited to add Doug to our outstanding senior leadership team. I look forward to Doug's leadership as we continue to build momentum, expand globally and deliver on our mission to build a stronger, safer and more secure digital advertising ecosystem'.
