London-based youth insight and panel business YouthSight has been acquired by Next15's data and insights group Savanta. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded by Ben Marks (pictured) in 2004, YouthSight offers research focused on the under-30s, and owns and runs the OpinionPanel youth research access community of more than 150,000 active members. According to Savanta, the buy will give client organisations access to an even more extensive audience base under one platform.
YouthSight's management team will remain with the business and there will be no immediate changes to the day-to-day running or branding of the company. Marks, who will be staying on as the firm's CEO for the next year, says the takeover signals the beginning of an 'exciting new chapter'.
Paul Bath, COO of Savanta, adds: 'YouthSight is the preeminent youth research company, with an amazing product offer and team, as well as an incredibly passionate community. YouthSight will bring new ideas and capabilities, which combined with Savanta's data, technology and expertise will enable us to deliver even greater value to our clients in the UK and around the world'.
