In London, performance marketing and consumer intelligence firm FanFinders has acquired parent and baby brand review web site The Best for Baby (TB4B). Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The TB4B site offers access to more than 50,000 ratings and 25,000 reviews across over 30 categories and 300 brands. Its team collects and collates user reviews, and each brand category lists all the rated and reviewed products in order. As well as overall rating relating to how a site user feels about a brand, the platform lists ratings for 'value for money', 'quality', 'awareness', 'popularity' and 'loyalty'.
FanFinders says the deal will complement its own offering, which includes its 'Your Baby Club' consumer platform, comprising five million members across the UK and US, through which brands connect with parents. As part of the deal, TB4B will initially remain a standalone web site, before being integrated with the Your Baby Club platform.
Alec Dobbie (pictured), CEO and co-founder of FanFinders, comments: 'Reviews remain an essential resource for many new parents when it comes to deciding on products for their baby. Through this acquisition, we will bring together an existing base of over 200,000 ratings on the latest brand products, and our exclusive offers, competitions, and expert content. This furthers our mission of building the ultimate place-to-be for new and expectant parents in the UK.'
