Australian media company Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has invested an undisclosed amount in artificial intelligence and machine learning company SourseAI, which will provide content recommendations to SCA's listeners.
Barangaroo, Sydney-based SourseAI integrates with systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Zuora and Genesys, to personalise customer interactions. This is done via predictions about customer behaviour, intent and possible treatments, using both client data and competitive market insights.
Following the investment, SourseAI will provide content recommendations on SCA's LiSTNR digital audio listening app, with the former's patented intelligence platform used by SCA to uncover audience behavioural insights, listener mood states and how to drive segments of LiSTNR users. SCA will also use other SourseAI capabilities, such as forecasting and anomaly detection, to understand growth across content genres, predict seasonal content scheduling peaks and troughs, and to explore changing tastes.
Chris Johnson (pictured), SCA Head of Digital and Innovation, comments: 'Our investment in SourseAI allows us to deliver a deeply personalised listening experience to consumers, based on consumption habits and context. It also enables us to gain a rich understanding of our audience's behaviour, allowing us to continue to create market leading advertising solutions'.
