Data Axle Buys Direct Marketing Firm Exact Data

US-based Data Axle, which was previously known as Infogroup, has acquired multi-channel direct marketing solutions specialist Exact Data for an undisclosed sum.

Larry OrganChicago-based Exact Data offers online and off-line consumer behavioral data, specializing in postal, e-mail and telephone list solutions from its millions of consumer and business e-mail addresses. The firm will now be integrated into the Data Axle USA division, giving customers one place to access lists, data solutions, e-mail marketing, online advertising, social media advertising, paid search and direct mail for small to mid-sized businesses.

The acquisition also expands the Data Axle USA client base, bolstering its total SMB client count to more than 40,000 organizations. Data Axle Chairman and CEO Michael Iaccarino says that having partnered for more than ten years, the Data Axle team knew Exact Data would be a 'natural fit' for his company.

Exact Data CEO Larry Organ (pictured), who has now been named Data Axle General Manager, adds: 'In addition to our companies' strategic alignment, our vision for the future of data-driven marketing could not be more synchronized.
