In the US, product assessment platform Statsig has raised $10.4m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to recruit for design, product, data science, sales and marketing.
Founded earlier this year by former Facebook engineer Vijaye Raji (pictured) and seven other former Facebook colleagues, Statsig offers A/B testing and tools to enable product developers to run experiments and analyze how their users are responding to new features and functionality. Using the firm's tools - such as Pulse, Experiments+ and AutoTune - product teams can run hundreds of experiments every week.
New funding has been led by Sequoia Capital with participation from Madrona Venture Group and several individual investors. Mike Vernal, Partner at Sequoia, comments: 'Statsig is going to be a transformational product for most technology companies. It enables product teams to operate quickly and decisively in a decentralized way by understanding the impact of the changes they are shipping. We're thrilled to partner with Vijaye and team as they transform how companies build products and enable product-led growth'.
