In the US, business data and analytics sharing platform Metabase has raised $30m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to support its efforts to accelerate the customer onboarding process, and further simplify user experience.
Metabase allows users to uncover and share insights across their enterprise by making data more accessible and actionable through visualization. Its business intelligence app can connect to most commonly used databases and allows anyone in a company to ask questions and create dashboards without knowing SQL.
New funding has been led by private equity and venture capital investor Insight Partners, with participation from Expa and NEA and bringing the total raised to date to $42.5m. Metabase CEO and co-founder Sameer Al-Sakran (pictured) comments: 'This latest funding round helps bring the value of Metabase to more organizations worldwide and drives continued depth and breadth to the product - while further simplifying the user experience. We are on a journey to democratize business intelligence globally.'
