In the US, customer intelligence platform InMoment has acquired structured and unstructured data and text analytics firm Lexalytics, for an undisclosed sum.
Lexalytics processes billions of words every day, for data analytics companies and enterprise data analyst teams around the world. The company's Salience, Semantria and Lexalytics Intelligence Platform products combine natural language processing with artificial intelligence to convert text into usable data. These solutions can be used to uncover patterns and insights for voice of customer, voice of employee, customer experience management, market research, social listening, news monitoring and other business intelligence programs.
InMoment says the deal will bolster its customer experience management (CXM) solutions, including the Experience Intelligence (XI) platform, which analyzes and evaluates enterprise experience data and customer feedback. The acquisition follows InMoment's 2020 acquisition of customer experience management software and solutions firm MaritzCX.
Following the takeover, Lexalytics employees, including its founder and CEO Jeff Catlin, will continue in their roles. Andrew Joiner, CEO at InMoment, comments: 'With Lexalytics, we bring together the most powerful structured and unstructured data analytics engines with our XI Platform, to enable companies to mine feedback with clarity and go beyond surveys to meet their customers and employees where they are - with deeper understanding of their journey, emotion, intention, and the effort associated with an experience'.
