Kids, parents and family research specialist The Insights Family has launched its inaugural Toys & Games Report in both the UK and US.The new report, which will be released each quarter, examines the attitudes, behaviour and consumption preferences of children aged 3 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 to 12, highlighting key changes and year-to-year trends. Along with detailed data on kids' toy preferences, expenditure, influence, leisure and lifestyles, brands can learn about licensing categories and toy-related purchases from TV, video games, film, and Youtubers.
In addition, the new report also includes a section called 'Looking Forward', which covers future trends. The launch is based on the firm's methodology, which includes speaking to at least 3,313 children aged 3-12 every quarter in the US.
Sarah Riding, Research & Trends Director, comments: 'It's been an interesting quarter, with significant changes as the world returns to some form of normality. The Toys & Games Report shows a strong trend towards the popularity of traditional and well-known toys, as well as a growing interest in creative toys.'
