In the UK, customer data platform Distil.ai has raised £400k, which it will use to pursue its growth strategy, further develop its product, and expand its sales and marketing initiatives.Founded in 2018 by data scientist Gerry McNicol (pictured), the Exeter, UK-based company brings together data from disparate sources across a business and distills it into a single, centralised customer data view including spending patterns, buying signals and behavioural traits.
New funding has been led by venture capital firm Mercia, and McNicol comments: 'We're on a mission to help businesses transform their data from an expensive, time-consuming challenge into a powerful goal-achieving asset. In Mercia we have found the perfect partner to expand our product and accelerate the growth for Distil and its customers'.
