Information services group Informa has sold its Asset Intelligence Business unit to pricing data specialist Randall-Reilly, for an undisclosed sum.
The unit provides pricing data, information and insights to businesses making investments in heavy construction equipment, commercial vehicles and other infrastructure assets. The division comprises Equipment Watch, which offers data for construction equipment, lift trucks and agricultural equipment; Price Digests, which delivers market value data solutions for the commercial truck, passenger vehicle, marine, powersport and recreational vehicle asset classes; and FleetSeek, a market intelligence research tool for the trucking industry, comprising a database of 500,000 carriers.
As part of the deal, terms of which have not been disclosed, Randall-Reilly will add these acquisitions to its own data and analytics infrastructure portfolio for transportation, construction, agriculture and other industrial markets. Matt Reilly (pictured), President and CEO of Randall-Reilly, comments: 'Strategically, these highly regarded brands really help us advance our progress toward being the go-to source for pricing and analytics in America's most vital industries. They're a perfect complement to our equipment market intelligence platforms, EDA and Rig Dig, and equipmentexperts.com, our performance-based used equipment marketplace'.
