Former Phoenix Marketing International President Marjette Stark has been named President of non-profit MR educational institute the MRII (Market Research Institute International), having served on its Board of Directors since 2015.
MRII offers online market research courses covering the fundamental skills for the profession, to the standards of worldwide industry associations. The organisation partners with the University of Georgia on 'Principles' courses for Market Research, Mobile MR and Pharmaceutical MR, and has taught more than 9,000 practitioners from 107 countries.
Stark is the founder of Stark Solutions, and previously worked for PMI as President, Digital Dimensions. Before this she was SVP at DMS Research; Executive Director at AOL, where she spent more than nine years; and VP at M/A/R/C Research. She also served as President of the AMA Marketing Research Council from 2011 to 2012.
As President of the MRII, Stark succeeds Stephanie Harris, who will remain on the Board of Directors; then next year, Miami University Professor Paul Hunter will succeed Stark. Shelly Ray, VP at MMR Research Associates, will continue as MRII Treasurer.
