UK-based healthcare insights company Research Partnership has been acquired by healthcare services partner Ashfield. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1997 by Mary Assimakopoulos and Mark Jeffery, Research Partnership is headquartered in London and also has offices in New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Lyon and Singapore, employing more than 220 healthcare specialists and completing projects in more than 80 different therapeutic areas. The company also operates RP Therapy Watch, which collects data from an online community of specialist physicians across the globe, allowing clients to monitor their market and that of their competitors in real time.
Research Partnership will now become part of Ashfield's solution-oriented advisory and consulting division, Ashfield Advisory. Colin Stanley, Global President of Ashfield Advisory, says the takeover will add new market research and insights capabilities to his firm's services, while expanding its geographic reach - adding capacity in Asia and an increased footprint in Europe.
Commenting on the acquisition, Assimakopoulos added: 'This acquisition brings great opportunities to both our current and future clients, as we'll be able to offer the same exceptional service, with the added value of being connected to the wider Ashfield offering, as and when our clients need additional support. I am extremely proud of the team at Research Partnership and of what we have achieved together. I am very grateful for all their hard work, and I am looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish as part of Ashfield Advisory'.
