Consumer intelligence business NielsenIQ has acquired Israel-based ciValue, whose AI platform offers retailers insights into what consumers want, and helps deliver personalized offers and ads. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ciValue's solution uses machine learning to create a 'customer DNA' based on thousands of predictive attributes, enabling retailers and brands to identify risks and opportunities for every customer and product. The platform also provides apps and workflows for insights sharing, audience segmentation, and offer and ad management.
NieslenIQsays that by integrating ciValue's platform into its own Connect platform, retailers will be able to access capabilities for audience building and insights, as well as personalization. ciValue CEO and founder Beni Basel (pictured) says joining NielsenIQ will enable his firm to expand its retail intelligence offering to more retailers and brands.
Xavier Facon, Global Head of Retail Media at NielsenIQ, adds: 'Integrating the ciValue platform with Connect is a game changer for retailers globally. This SaaS-based collaborative solution will promptly deliver insights that align retailers and their brand partners with what consumers want, executing personalized content across physical and digital channels'.
