In the US, technology intelligence firm HG Insights has acquired Intricately, which provides data on cloud product adoption, usage and spend. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Intricately was founded in 2014, and operates a proprietary global sensor network which collects data from more than 150 locations (PoPs) across the globe, mapping and monitoring the digital infrastructure of over six million organizations, and providing insights into usage patterns for cloud products across every application. The firm then works with marketing and sales teams to find and acquire new customers using the data.
Intricately joins HG Insights, whose own proprietary processes formulate data on over eleven million companies globally, representing what it says it is 96% of the world's total IT spend, and more than 15,600 installed products in 248 countries and territories. The entire Intricately team will now join HG Insights, with the latter's CEO Elizabeth Cholawsky leading the combined organization.
Pollack comments: 'As the workforces of global companies become increasingly distributed, cloud spend and product adoption have become key indicators when assessing potential buyers' likelihood of purchasing and deploying new products. Intricately's intelligence, now part of HG Insights, is uniquely positioned to lead the market on this trend'.
