Former Eyeota COO Jill Orr Joins Criteo

In the UK, former Eyeota Chief Operating Officer Jill Orr has joined purchase data and ad targeting firm Criteo as Retail Media Head for EMEA.

Criteo combines predictive software and consumer intent / purchasing data to deliver targeted ads in real time, and has bolstered its offer with the acquisitions of performance marketing company BrandLogic, online ad targeting specialist DataPop, and programmatic ad tech firm IPONWEB. The firm operates a platform that connects shops, brands and publishers, and offers marketing solutions that support all phases of the customer journey.

Orr (pictured) joined local audience data specialist Eyeota in 2018, having previously worked for digital retail specialist Triad Retail Media, where she led operations in APAC and Europe as EVP International before the firm's sale to WPP's audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis. Before this she held senior roles - including VP & UK MD - at entertainment online content network CBS Interactive; and she worked for tech product reviews, news and price comparisons site CNET as Head of Consumer Publishing. More recently, she founded coaching and mentoring consultancy theeightytwo.

In her new role, Orr will lead Criteo's retail media business in the region, targeting additional retailers, agencies and brands as clients and expanding retail-focused services and solutions. Commenting on the appointment Sherry Smith, Executive MD Global Retail Media, said: 'Jill's background in retail media and her extensive experience in market and customer development will not only help us continue to grow our customer base in the EMEA region, but also to offer new customer-centric solutions for our existing customers'.
