Digital services group Informa is to acquire multi-market B2B audience development and digital content specialist Industry Dive, from private equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners. Terms have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2012 by Sean Griffey, Ryan Willumson and Eli Dickinson, US-based Industry Dive delivers original news articles, insight and analysis to curated audiences of business leaders and decision-makers. Now, nearly thirteen million executives and leaders receive their news via 27 web-based publications and more than 70 daily and weekly e-mail newsletters. In addition, the company provides marketers with access to targeted audiences of purchasing decision-makers.
The deal will add Industry Dive's audience development expertise, B2B digital marketing capabilities and business publications to Informa's existing portfolio of B2B brands, as well as specialist research, digital content and digital demand services. Stephen Carter, Informa Group CEO says the combination of Industry Dive's targeted business insights and Informa's existing portfolio will create more opportunities to grow B2B audiences.
Griffey (pictured) adds: 'This new phase will see us continue to level up our editorial excellence, deepen our insights, and find new ways to serve our clients and partners.
