Verisk Hires Head of Data Governance

In the US, analytics provider Verisk Marketing Solutions has appointed long-time Experian exec Christine Frohlich as Head of Data Governance, both for its consumer behavioral data and intelligence agency Jornaya, and its consumer identity management and resolution firm Infutor.

Acquired by Verisk in 2020, Jornaya offers access to proprietary behavioral data in markets where consumers make 'considered purchases', including the insurance sector, helping clients to improve consumer engagement and drive growth through understanding of their customers and prospects. More recently acquired Infutor provides real-time identity resolution and consumer intelligence to marketers, and the platforms and data companies that build products to serve marketers.

Frohlich (pictured) joins after eighteen years at Experian, most recently as VP of Data Operations, leading the development and implementation of the firm's data governance framework. In this role, she took responsibility for directing data operations and the regulatory compliance program for legislation including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Earlier she led Experian's Product Management and Marketing teams; and oversaw the business's Strategic Alliance, Data Acquisitions, Contract Management and Sales Engineering teams.

Commenting on her new role, Frohlich said: 'Managing the patchwork of data governance across the US is the greatest challenge we face, as we start to move into the 2023 enforcement at the beginning of the year. For many years we were self-regulated, but now we need to be more transparent about how to protect consumer data'.
