In Australia, Interpublic's marketing intell company Kinesso has promoted Clay Gill to the role of Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the firm's data and technology solutions. In addition to his new post, Gill will retain his existing position as CEO of activation intelligence company Matterkind.
Kinesso was created in October 2019 and built on Interpublic's acquisition of data firm Acxiom to create data-based marketing applications focused on trust and security, campaign optimization and precision audiences. Gill (pictured) joined as CEO of sister company Matterkind Australia in 2019, after a stint at The Trade Desk as General Manager AU & NZ. Before this, he was Head of APAC Customer Acquisition Cloud division at customer service software firm [24]7.ai, and he spent nearly a decade at WPP-owned media services company Mindshare, where he latterly served as National Head of FAST Digital - Australia. Earlier, Gill worked as a Senior Communications Planner at BLM London, having begun his career as a Media Planner at Ogilvy & Mather South Africa.
As part of the new Matterkind/Kinesso leadership team, Michael Whiteside moves to the position of National MD of Matterkind, from Head of Melbourne/Perth; Kim Kho - previously UM's Director of Biddable Media, Australian Government - takes on the role of National Head of Trading; and Georgina Fox joins Matterkind as National Head of Strategic Investment & Partnerships, having previously been Head of Operations at GroupM's Finecast.
