Online survey and research services firm QuestionPro has expanded to Japan with the opening of a Tokyo office, and appointed MR veteran Satoshi Komatsuzaki to lead it as Country Director.
QuestionPro was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with offices elsewhere in the US and in Mexico, Canada, Germany, the UAE and India, and its broad-based offer includes specific platforms for Customer Experience, Research & Insights, and Employee/Workforce experience. Last month it acquired Madison, WI-based Digsite, which provides qualitative research capabilities and a collaborative insights platform - following the acquisitions since 2019 of healthcare CX platform Care Experience; automotive tracking software firm Enprecis Group, and customer brand engagement analyst Bryght AI.
The firm says it is taking 'a deliberate approach' to growing its market in Japan, beginning with offering managed research services this year and then planning to build out and launch its full range of services there in 2023, including Research Suite and Survey Software.
Komatsuzaki received a master's degree in the US, then started his career at Japan External Trade Organization, subsequently moving into MR and spending ten years at firms including Kantar and Nielsen. He later worked as Country Manager at Survey Sampling Japan (now part of Dynata); a regional managing director of Kadence International; and SVP of the New Product Development Division at Kadence parent Cross Marketing.
Dan Fleetwood, President of Research & Insights at QuestionPro, commentsL 'We see significant opportunity for growth across Japan, based on our existing customers and based on trends we're seeing in the marketplace. Satoshi has deep experience in market research, is well-respected in the industry and shares our vision of establishing a significant presence in Japan'.
