Winners have been announced for the second 'Insight250' awards, which recognise MR industry 'leaders, visionaries and pioneers'. The list rings the changes, with only 40% of last year's winners appearing again.
Established by MR technology firm mTab and now supported by ESOMAR, the Insight250 aims to provide a 'who's who' of 'exceptional individuals' across MR, data-driven marketing, consumer insight and data intelligence worldwide. Overseen by a panel of insight, marketing, and research professionals, the selection process is based on an array of professional measures.
This year's winners - announced yesterday at the ESOMAR Congress in Toronto - came from 46 nations spanning six continents, and included individuals from agencies, enterprises, universities and a sprinkling of industry publications - the last including MrWeb MD and owner Nick Thomas. Mark Langsfeld (pictured), co-chair of the Insight250 judging panel and CEO of mTab, explains: 'It's incredible how many people are making major contributions to how we gather data, analyze insights and understand today's complex world. Paring this to a list of 250 has been incredibly challenging, but ESOMAR's support has been essential to the process'.
