In the US, media intelligence and analysis provider Muck Rack has raised $180m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use for continued company growth and to enhance its offerings.
Muck Rack was founded in 2009 by Gregory Galant and Lee Semel, to help PR teams collaborate and connect with journalists and content creators to generate media coverage. Organizations also use the firm's public relations platform (PRP) to monitor, measure and report on coverage to help show the impact PR has on business outcomes and brand reputation. In addition, journalists use Muck Rack's free tools to showcase their portfolios, analyze news about any topic, and measure the impact of their stories.
New funding comes from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), whose MDs Josh Elser and Scott Fledman will join Muck Rack's Board. Galant, CEO of Muck Rack, comments: 'This investment is an indicator of the strength of our business and Muck Rack's bright future as we drive toward our mission to enable organizations to build trust, tell their stories and demonstrate the unique value of earned media'.
