Ipsos Names APAC CEO and Chief Client Officer

Ipsos has moved Hamish Munro into the position of APAC Chief Executive Officer, replacing Christophe Cambournac who will move into a global role with the business. Additionally, South East Asia CEO Suresh Ramalingam has been named Chief Client Officer for the APAC region.

Munro moves into his new position after three years as Ipsos' Global Head of Interactive Services. Since joining the group in 2013 he has also served as CEO of Australia and New Zealand, South East Asia, and APAC Operations. Earlier, he worked for TNS as CEO South East Asia and MD Singapore. He joined NFO in Indonesia in 1999, rising to the role of MD of Taiwan and Hong Kong before the firm's acquisition by TNS. Munro also worked as Asia-Pacific Regional Director Technology for TNS, and for Research International as Global Client Leader. Cambournac, whom he replaces, joined from Nielsen in 2008.

Ramalingam moves into his new role after four years as CEO for Ipsos' South East Asian markets. Prior to joining he spent more than twenty years at Nielsen, working across its emerging markets in various leadership roles - most recently as MD of Consumer Insights across LATAM, EMEA and South East Asia, based in Dubai. He will now lead the client organisation for Ipsos' APAC region and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
