Field Agent, which provides store-level audits, shopper insights and product trial solutions, has acquired distributed workforce management platform SimpliField for an undisclosed sum.
Paris, France-based SimpliField delivers alerts, real-time communication and data analytics, through which brands and retailers can coordinate and monitor their remote stores and field teams globally. The company currently covers 400,000 retail locations across 65 countries.
SimpliField joins Field Agent, which has a crowdsourced panel of more than two million shoppers around the world, which it uses to audit in-store prices, product availability, display compliance and other features within the store environment. According to Rick West (pictured left), Field Agent CEO and co-founder, the combined company will have revenues of more than $20m, a team of over 150 employees, and physical operations in ten global markets.
Benjamin Zenou (pictured right), CEO and co-founder of SimpliField, says his company will capitalize on Field Agent's deep knowledge of the North American market while supporting its expansion in EMEA. He adds: 'Our current customers can supplement their teams by offloading simple tasks to the Field Agent crowd. It'll be a win-win for the client and the shopper alike'.
