New Senior People Strategy Role for Gongos' Ishak

November 21 2022

US agency Gongos, a division of InSites Consulting, has promoted eleven-year company veteran Alfred Ishak to the new role of Vice President, People Strategy.

Alfred IshakGongos was acquired in January of this year by online communities specialist InSites Consulting and now forms its North American wing.

Ishak worked as a Product Manager at the Handleman Company and then as a Senior Research Analyst at ForeSee (now Verint), before joining Gongos in 2010 as a Project Director. Since then he has worked in a number of roles, most recently Senior Director, Research & Integration / People Development. He holds a BS in marketing from Wayne State University and a post-graduate degree in digital communications from Michigan State University, and two years ago was elected to the Insights Association's IDEA inclusion and diversity council.

In his new role the firm says Ishak will be responsible for 'bringing the voice of the people' to its leadership and evolving corporate culture. He will oversee a team responsible for recruiting, onboarding, retention, compensation, employee relations and succession planning. North American MD Camille Nicita comments: 'While not on the traditional path of a human resources professional, Alfred is the natural choice for us to fill this seat on our People Strategy team, as for years he has developed not only our new talent but has had a hand in recruiting across our brand strategy, implementation, and design practices, to name a few. Beyond that, he personifies a human-first sensibility in all that he touches'.

Gongos, which says it has also recently retained Miami-based Equitas Insight to help it assess, enhance and expand its DEI initiatives, is online at www.gongos.com .
