In the US, no-code app usage data platform MadKudu has raised $18m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to triple the size of its team in 2023, investing in product and engineering to increase the breadth of users it serves.Co-founded in 2014 by Sam Levan and Francis Brero (pictured), who previously worked at customer data platform AgilOne, MadKudu is headquartered in California. The firm analyzes customer behavior relating to products in a client's app and enriches leads with relevant data to find out what makes people engage. It then predicts which customers will engage, why and when, and recommends actionable next steps to increase conversions.
New funding was led by Felicis, with participation from BGV, Alven, Techstars and several angels, including former SurveyMonkey SVP Elena Verna; and brings the total raised to date to $27m. Levan comments: 'We see a future where thousands of growth and marketing teams find it easy to be successful running a product-led-growth model alongside their traditional funnels. For this to happen, we need to rethink the stack and reinvent how we use data in sales and marketing'.
The firm, which also has an office in Paris, France, is online at www.madkudu.com .
