In the UK, research agency MM-Eye has become employee-owned, with everyone in the business having a say in how it is run, and a share in future profits. Meg Rudman-Walsh, a Research Director who has worked at MM-Eye for eight years, will be the first Employee Trustee.
MM-Eye, which was formed fifteen years ago and since has transitioned through several owners, was acquired by its longstanding management team - Damien Field, Alison Phillips and Deborah Fitzpatrick - in 2020. The firm now has a headcount of twenty.
Following the change of status, the management team will remain in their operational roles, while developing and mentoring the team. Field said that the employee-owned status is good for the business, team and management. Phillips adds: 'Employee-owned businesses are proven to be more creative, adaptable and customer-focused, all of which will be good news to our growing client base of blue-chip corporates and high growth businesses which are driven by an ethos of positive impact'.
MM-Eye is (to DRNO's knowledge) the fifth in a list of UK-based MR agencies which have become employee-owned - following Britain Thinks, The Nursery, DJS Research and Vox Pops International.
