London-based immersive product shopping platform Situ Live has raised £1m in an investment round, which it will use to further develop its technology and increase sales and marketing activity.Situ Live combines physical venues (the firm opened its first physical store in London Westfield, in 2021) and a digital platform, through which brands can showcase their products and enable consumers to interact with and experience those products first hand. Consumers simply scan a QR code when they see something they like, save it to their favourites, and then buy online whenever or wherever they like. In return, the firm collects traffic and purchase intent data for brands, while facilitating the direct connection between them and consumers.
New funding has been led by private equity house IW Capital, and will also be used to add a sustainable lifestyle focused proposition, featuring product categories inside and outside the home - this includes electric vehicles, clean energy and (other) green tech.
CEO Warren Richmond (pictured) comments: 'Situ Live aims to be the home of immersive shopping by reinventing the consumer shopping experience, focusing on storytelling within the retail marketing space. We are excited to be working with IW Capital to help further develop our digital platform and increase sales and marketing activity, to enable our expansion plans'.
