In the US, research and advisory firm Forrester Research has reported a loss of $1.6m for the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to a profit of $8.0m for the same period a year earlier. Q4 revenue rose 2.4% to $136.9m, and over the whole of 2022 revenue was up 9% to $537.8m.The firm's Research segment saw revenue grow to $92.1m in the quarter, from $89.5m a year earlier. This compared with a drop in the firm's Consulting arm, where revenue fell from $39.2m to $37.5m; while the Events segment saw a recovery from $5.0m to $7.1m.
Commenting on the results, CEO and Chairman George Colony (pictured) stated: 'In 2022, we posted strong growth on both the top and bottom lines, with revenue increasing 9% and adjusted EPS increasing 18%. While we anticipate continued headwinds in the first half of 2023, we have the right team in place to lead us through this pivotal moment and create a platform from which we can accelerate growth in 2024 and beyond'.
