BritainThinks and WorldThinks Merged and Renamed

February 23 2023

BritainThinks and its subsidiary WorldThinks have combined under a single brand, Thinks Insight & Strategy, which the firm says better reflects the global nature of its business and that of its clients.

Aurelie LecarpentierLaunched in 2010 by Opinion Leader co-founders Deborah Mattinson (who left in 2021 and is no longer affiliated with the company) and Viki Cooke, and former Opinion Leader consultant Ben Shimshon, employee-owned BritainThinks offered strategic advice for political, corporate and not-for-profit clients. In addition, its WorldThinks international division had a specific focus on reputation research.

Now, the two businesses have merged under the Thinks Insight & Strategy name, which it says encapsulates the breadth of service it offers clients worldwide - strategic insight, communications development, engagement, and behavioural insight and advisory. In addition, the business will offer a wider behavioural design and testing capacity, providing clients with an end-to-end advisory service.

Shimshon, who oversees the day-to-day running of the business in the role of Managing Partner, explains: 'Becoming Thinks Insight & Strategy reflects how our agency has evolved and points to where we're going next. From our qualitative-led, UK-focussed beginnings, nowadays we work globally, offering strategic advice and counsel rooted in genuinely innovative, method neutral, blended insight practice. With our recently launched behavioural practice and our growing international footprint, Thinks Insight & Strategy offers a foundation for the next phase of our development.'
