Consumer data science specialist dunnhumby has appointed Prithvesh Katoch as Head of dunnhumby India, where the company employs more than 730 professionals. He adds the role to his existing position as Global Head of Client Data Services.
Tesco subsidiary dunnhumby operates a Customer Data Science Platform combining software and consulting to help retailers and CPGs uncover insights from shopper data, both on- and off-line, with the aim of driving customer loyalty. In February, it launched a tool called Revenue Growth Planner, allowing CPG brands to forecast the sales impact of changes to a product's pricing and promotional strategy.
Katoch (pictured) joined the group in 2012 as Senior Manager leading the Tesco International Markets Development team, having earlier held senior roles at Accenture and American Express. As Global Head of Client Data Services, he leads a team of more than 150 data professionals including technical account managers and data engineers. In addition to this role, Katoch will now be responsible for the management of operations, compliance, governance, and providing country leadership to dunnhumby India.
Commenting on the news, Katoch said: 'The India office has been successfully operating as a key strategic location for dunnhumby for the past fifteen years. I am excited to work more closely with our talented and passionate team to not only generate value for dunnhumby and our clients, but also accelerate our plans for global growth'.
