In Canada, foodservice market analytics specialist Brizo Data has raised $12m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to accelerate growth and expand into new markets.Launched in 2020 by entrepreneurs Ian Delisle, Trevor Shimizu, Gaetan Corneau and Jean-Sébastien Vachon, the company has developed a product called Brizo FoodMetrics, providing a North American source of near real-time, foodservice market analytics. Businesses including technology vendors, franchisors, food and beverage distributors and industry investors use the product to optimize the sales process and drive growth through insights and analytics.
New funding was led by Framework Venture Partners and BDC Capital's Industrial Innovation Venture Fund. Brizo CEO Delisle (pictured) comments: 'The infusion of capital will allow us to accelerate growth and expand into new markets - making our solution an even bigger game changer for the industry'.
