In the US, research and insights agency Opinium has appointed Mark Petrone as Vice President of Research. He is based in New York.
London-headquartered Opinium, which also has operations in Amsterdam, offers qual and quant research and consultancy across five practice areas - brand and communications, product and service development, stakeholder, market intelligence and thought leadership. It also owns and manages panels of UK consumers, IFAs and small businesses, and runs an omnibus which interviews 2000 UK adults in each wave.
Petrone (pictured) joins the firm's Maddison Avenue-based office with thirteen years' qual and quant experience. Most recently, he worked at MarketCast as Senior Director, Custom Research. Prior to this, he was Research Director at MetrixLab, and he founded One Stone Research Group, working with clients in the business, food and beverage and healthcare sectors.
In his new role, Petrone will work with Opinium's existing clients, while creating partnerships with other brands and agencies. CEO James Endersby comments: 'Mark will add instant value to everything he touches. But what is more important, in the end, is cultural fit, and Mark absolutely fits our people centric, Opinium for Good, value set. We all know culture is the difference between good and great in this agency game, and Mark will certainly hit the ground running.'
