In Ireland, RED C has hired long-time Kantar exec Robin McGhee as a Director, to focus on qual research and further developing the group's strategic planning offer. Meanwhile two other former Kantar execs, Aya Sako and Patrick McHugh, are also joining the team.
Dublin-based RED C, which also has an office in London, was founded in 2003 by former Lansdowne Market Research executives Richard Colwell and Sinéad Mooney. The firm offers quant and qual projects to a wide range of clients, while also running monthly polls for the Sunday Business Post. In 2021, the Business Post Group acquired RED C for an undisclosed sum.
McGhee (pictured) joins after more than eleven years at Kantar, latterly as Planning Director, collaborating with a broad range of FMCG and services clients. Before this he spent a decade at alcoholic beverage company Diageo, the past three as Consumer Planning Director, Lagers; having begun his career as a planner at Saatchi-owned Bates. His broad range of expertise covers communications, planning, strategy and research.
Commenting on the appointment, Colwell said: 'We are confident that Robin's extensive experience and skill set will enhance RED C's offerings in both Ireland and the UK. His expertise in strategic planning and strong qualitative skills will reinforce and broaden our capabilities, ensuring that we continue to drive growth and action for our clients'.
Sako joins as Research Project Manager, and McHugh as Data Visualisation Executive, both from the recently closed Kantar business in Ireland.
