Customer lifecycle and user retention platform CleverTap has rolled out its services in the United Arab Emirates, through data centers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
CleverTap helps app-first brands personalize and optimize their consumer touchpoints to improve engagement, retention and lifetime value - this includes provision of audience analytics, deep segmentation, multi-channel engagement, product recommendations and automation, via a unified product. The firm says local deployment of its platform in the UAE will allow customers there to strengthen their compliance with local data privacy and security standards.
This includes compliance in accordance with amendments in the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) Data Protection Law, as well as the updated Data Protection Regulations enacted on May 21st 2020, and effective since July 1st that year. These regulations are aimed at further enhancing the protection of all personal data belonging to UAE citizens and is applicable to any entity processing and storing data.
Anand Jain (pictured), co-founder and Chief Product Officer, comments: 'Providing our services through local data centers will ensure our customers in UAE seamlessly comply with their respective data residency requirements. This is yet another example of our commitment to delivering not just business value and growth to our customers, but also ensuring that their data is safe and compliant at all times'.
