In London, insight consultancy Firefish has appointed former Flamingo exec Susie Hogarth as Head of Cultural Strategy. Hogarth replaces Fran Alberry, who is currently on maternity leave and will take up a different position when she returns to the company.
Firefish was founded as a qual agency in London in 2000, then added quant division TheNumbersLab a decade later. It also owns a kids and family specialist, The Pineapple Lounge, and an in-house insight films specialist, Firefilms. More recently, the company launched a healthcare division, Firefish Healthcare.
Hogarth (pictured) joins from creative agency We Are Social where she served as Global Head of Cultural Insight, evolving the firm's cultural insight offer and overseeing thought leadership. Prior to that she was Head of Futures at Flamingo, leading the Futures team as well as creating the agency's first proprietary trends report, The Frame..
Commenting on the appointment, MD Dan Rose said: 'Susie's experience helping clients develop and deliver their strategic visions, rooting them in culture, creating cultural vibrancy, and making sure they add to - not take away from - culture is second to none. I am beyond excited about seeing her amazing plans come to life and know our clients - old and new - around the world are going to just love it too'.
