Automated physical product testing platform Highlight has raised $18m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to accelerate its product roadmap, expand its community of 'Highlighters', and grow its team.
Highlight was set up in 2020 by former Kelton Qual AD Dana Kim, who serves as CEO; and product design specialist Ethan Kellough, who is the firm's Chief Product Technology Officer. The company offers end-to-end automation of the product testing process, with access to a pre-screened consumer community whose individuals are known as 'Highlighters'.
New funding has been led by Acre Venture Partners and Hearst Lab, with participation from Ingeborg, GS Futures, and ten angels, including Jag Bath, Richard Thornton and Siqi Chen. This latest investment adds to last year's $7m seed round, and brings the total raised to date to more than $30m.
Kim and Kellough said the funding is a testament to the hard work of the company's team towards its 'mission of revolutionizing product intelligence in order to build better products'.
