Qortex, a New York firm providing Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) has raised $10m in funding, with which to expand its headcount and technology, and launch in new vertical markets.Qortex was founded by Zack Rosenberg and James Altschuler and allows users to quickly and accurately search, categorize and organise video 'moments' in any language and context, on a large scale.
The On-Stream Moments Marketing functionality allows clients to match ads in real time to specific video moments such as actions or events, moods or the appearance of particular people or products, whether in online video, CTV or in-game.
The round was led by GFT Ventures, with participation from Silicon Road Ventures. Jeff Herbst, co-founding Managing Partner of GFT Ventures, Mark Pedowitz, the former Chairman and CEO of the CW Network and Head of Pine Street Entertainment, and Silicon Road founder and Managing Partner Sid Mookerji will join the Qortex Board of Directors
The company says it will soon add a number of leaders to its team and enhance On-Stream in preparation for the launch of new IVA services in 2024.
