Two Hires for Harlow Consulting

Harrogate, Yorkshire-based firm Harlow Consulting has appointed Kathryn Purdy as Research and Operations Director, and Joel Galilee in an entry-level Researcher role.

The company was founded in 2019 by Jennifer Brennan and Clare Vokes and now has twelve staff. It boasts strong experience in sectors including construction, heritage and healthcare, and also works extensively in the education sector developing qualifications, standards and apprenticeship frameworks.

Purdy studied Maths at the University of York, before working as a teacher in her native Belfast. After three years she joined employee research agency Karian and Box, where she spent eight years, rising to the role of Analysis and Reporting Director as the firm grew to employ 125 people and was acquired by Ipsos in 2021. In her new role she will be supporting the founding Directors in identifying and pursuing opportunities for further sustainable growth and scalability. Brennan comments: 'The combination of Kathryn's mathematical mind and her expertise promises invaluable insights for us at a crucial time of growth. We're thrilled her skills will support us in taking our agency to the next level. She's also a great fit with our values and mission, which underpin all our work'.

Galilee studied History at the University of Warwick, then spent two and a half years at publisher Cambridge University Press and Assessment, focusing on academic journals and working in sales and editorial roles. Vokes says his role will include supporting survey work, field work and data collection, adding: 'Joel is a brilliant addition - he's enthused, shares our values, and we're thrilled to welcome him to the team'.
