Rakuten Insight Global has announced the integration of Singpass, Singapore's national digital identity, as part of its proprietary panel verification process.Rakuten Insight is the MR subsidiary company of Tokyo-based conglomerate Rakuten Group. It was established in 1997 as AIP Corporation and became part of the Rakuten Group in 2014. The firm has offices in eleven countries and regions, operates a research panel in twelve - in Asia & the US - and boasts a panel network covering 60 countries and regions.
The Singapore integration means new and existing members of the panel can verify their accounts with the company via Singpass, giving clients access to a substantial pool of authenticated members - and greater confidence in the research data collected, according to the company. Data is consent-based and government-verified, and the firm says it will only retrieve the necessary data for verification, with all items encrypted.
Company President Momoko Kishigami comments: 'We are committed to providing our clients with a reliable one-stop online data solution for Asia, US and beyond. The integration of Singpass represents an exciting step forward, enhancing the authenticity and reliability of our Singapore panel data'.
