Former ORC and Join the Dots / InSites Consulting exec Edward Wheeler has joined BVA BDRC as Head of Business Development.
Wheeler began his research career with a year at BDRC in 2005-6, then worked for four years as an Account Manager at ORC International. In 2014 he was appointed as Business Development Manager at consumer researcher and pioneering Internet survey firm Join the Dots, and was promoted after some eighteen months to BD Director. After the firm's acquisition by InSites Consulting in 2020 he continued in the role and from February 2022 was Global Head of Business Development - the company has been known as Human8 for the past year.
BVA BDRC was originally set up in 1991 under the BDRC name, and now comprises full service agency BVA BDRC, mystery shopping and store observation firm ESA Retail, digital agency Alligator, operations business Perspective Research Services, and facility and qual recruitment firm Viewpoint. In 2018, the company was acquired by French research and consultancy company BVA.
Last summer the company promoted Lucy Watts, James Myring and James Bland to MD roles, overseeing the Financial and B2B, Media, and 'On the Move' divisions, respectively. Web site: www.bva-bdrc.com .
