Manchester, UK-based product intelligence platform Vypr has appointed Glenn Porter as Chief Commercial Officer.
Vypr's platform promises insight into 'what customers want to see on the shelves', testing the effect of packaging, product names, pricing, promotional claims and ranging on purchase intent using a UK-representative panel of consumers via their smartphones, online and in-store. Product assessed are generally 'low-consideration purchases' such as FMCG, fast fashion and small consumer durables. Just over three years ago the company received a £2.5m investment from YFM Equity Partners and appointed Cint exec Richard Thornton to its Board.
Porter joins the company after working as Chief Commercial Officer at financial data, ratings and technology business Defaqto, for the last eighteen months, and before this spent more than thirteen years at global digital ID and fraud solutions specialist GBG, latterly as Chief Revenue Officer. Earlier in his career he spent a decade in sales at Dun & Bradstreet.
In his new job he will Vypr's ambitions for geographical expansion beyond its existing markets of the UK, France and Germany.
