Simpson Carpenter Hires Two, Adds Sports Sector

UK insight agency Simpson Carpenter has appointed Alexander Holmes as Senior Research Director with expertise in Automotive, Digital Entertainment and Tech, while Martyn Turze joins as Research Director heading up a new specialist sector, Sports.

Holmes and TurzeFounded by Tom Simpson and Derek Carpenter in 1998, the company works in sectors including retail and technology, media, telecoms and automotive.

Holmes (pictured above) spent around ten years at London's Northstar Research Partners, in two spells, either side of two years at youth specialist The Sound Research, and earlier worked as an RE at Essential Research. The firm says his twin speciailities will help to foster cross-sector insights and collaboration.

Turze (pictured below) brings experience working with clubs, governing bodies, rights-holders, sponsoring brands and broadcasters, including five years apiece at Vanson Bourne and Redblue Research, rising to AD, then four and a half years combined in Insight Director roles at global marcoms firms Publicis and Havas. He will now lead the development of Simpson Carpenter's new dedicated Sports research practice, and will also add a fresh perspective to the Digital Entertainment team, with the increasing overlap between sports, gaming and AR/VR technology.
