Austin, Texas-based qual and quant online survey and research services firm QuestionPro has acquired video research platform Tactix, headquartered in Paris, for an undisclosed sum.
QuestionPro was established in 2006 and offers a fully integrated online platform for research and CX work. The company has offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, the UAE and India, and uses a range of AI and techniques to analyse data from surveys, social media, email response and other sources. In the summer it announced it would work with Kantar to develop enhanced VoC and CX strategies through 'automation, AI and advanced research technologies'; it also acquired Egyptian firm Cmiles CX, a developer of 360 degree customer experience and feedback tracking technology.
Tactix' flagship offering is a digital diary study method using a mobile app to capture participants' in-the-moment experiences of products and services, including videos or photos. The firm works for clients in financial services, retail and ecommerce, consumer products, transportation, media and tech.
QuestionPro says the buy will give it an entry to the French market, and add technology for collecting, analyzing and sharing in-context insights from real participants around the world. Tactix clients will get access to QuestionPro's complementary technology, global panel of participants and expert guidance.
Pierre-Alexis Bayen, founder and CEO of Tactix, comments: 'We are thrilled to officially join the amazing team at QuestionPro. Both teams deeply care about customers and are driven by the power of research to help companies better understand their customers so they can drive business growth'. Aseem Badshah, QuestionPro's MD of Europe, Africa and Japan, adds: 'In the era of digitization and personalization, we've seen a growing demand from brands for digital user insights and ethnography. There is an enormous opportunity ahead. With Tactix, we want to increase the value we offer to our clients on strategic research and grow our customer base in France'.
